In the last 18 months NBA Ikorodu branch has pioneered efforts in mobilizing lawyers to engage in the police duty solicitors scheme [PDSS] and the court centered prison decongestion initiative.
NBA Ikorodu branch also has a very active committee on domestic violence, child rights and persons living with disabilities.
It has engaged in community based awareness programs reaching out to schools, hospitals, market places, police stations etc.
The branch has also been effective in its collaborative efforts, partnering with government and non government agencies national and international in achieving its objectives.
The branch has organised several workshops and seminars mostly planned and executed by its YLF members.
The branch has received support from British Council, open society justice initiative, traditional rulers within ikorodu, other professional bodies such as the NMA, many individuals and corporate bodies.
The Branch is currently enjoying a grant from Total E&P multi purpose coop society for its Legal Aid efforts.
The Branch has since published a report on its activities, the report was published by British Council Rolac programme. The Branch is expected to launch a manual on PDSS in May 2020 with the support of open society justice initiative and legal aid council of Nigeria
