BARR. ADEDOTUN HABEEB ADETUNJU GIVES PALLIATIVES TO HIS LCDA MEMBERS TO AMELIORATE THE COVID-19 LOCKDOWN. By Clementina E. Ukiri, Esq.

The good people of Agbele/Oreyo CDA in Igbogbo/Bayeku Local Council Development Area woke up to the humanitarian effort of Barrister Adedotun Habeeb Adetunji, the Chairman of the Council.

"My  personal effort was as a result of the unbearable hardship the COVID-19 lockdown metted on the people" the Chairman said. He in a chit chat with press men stated that his efforts are not for media publicity but a genuine opportunity to assist some members of his community in any way possible in these trying times.

Some of the items making up his palliative package to the people includes, Bags of rice, Beans, Garri, Cartons of Noodles , Tin of Mik, Semovita and Toileteries amongst other househould neccessaries.

The distribution of the paliative package has commenced since Tuesday 21st April, 2020 to the beneficiaries and would still continue until the provision is exhausted.

The personality of the Barr. Adedotun and his benevolence can be gleaned from a notable point which is, he has been the Chairman of his LCDA for the past 13 years. He has been returned unopposed at the polls each time and that speaks volume of his character.

Barr. Adedotun in addition to the provision of paliative package, has undertook to pay singlehandly the community monthly development levy due by every resident of the LCDA consisting of over 200 houses. The sum of  #1,200 (One Thousand Naira) only for 200 houses amounts to #240,000 (Two Hundred and Fourty Thousand Naira) only payable for the month of April.

He explained further that almost every resident is handicapped at the moment and as such it would be inhumane to not undertake to shouder the sole payment if God has blessed him enough to do so to support his people.

Prayers rose up to heaven for the Chairman as the beneficiary expressed their appreciation in warm praises and prayers to God Almighty to guide and protect their leader, Barrister Adedotun Habeeb Adetunji.
