EASTER MESSAGE FROM BAYO AKINLADE ESQ, CHAIRMAN NBA IKORODU*

Easter represents alot of things to everyone but one constant theme is the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Although it's a holiday were families come together to eat and drink,  the real value of Easter [spiritually] is the forgiveness of sin and the ultimate sacrifice made to make us righteous in the sight of God.

In NBA, what are we sacrificing for one another? What have we contributed to the growth of the Legal profession? What real sacrifices have we made to ensure that we represent a profession that protects the rights of the poor and the needy?

Are we really selfless or just selfish?

When we help others, do we do it with a motive to get something in return?

Christ made the sacrifice for all of us even though He was God. He came as a mere man, suffered the mortality of the flesh, went hungry, without shelter, without money etc just to secure our salvation. He made us realize that the life of man does not consist in the abundance of things he possesses but through faith, giving all that he has for the sake of others.

Christ was insulted, tortured and crucified for us. The people He helped condemned him to die, choosing a thief over him. They called Him horrible names and even accused Him of being the devil but He stayed true to His calling and mission.

*Are you staying true to your calling as a Lawyer?*

*Are your motives to serve the NBA in any capacity really true?*

*Are you just motivated by money, praise-singers and power?*

*CHRIST PAID IT ALL*

*Let us all remember that we are the product of someoneelse's SACRIFICE*
HAPPY EASTER!
