Further to the Chairman, NBA-SBL, Ayuli Jemide’s note of 15th February, on the 2021 training calendar, I write to thank you all for your support; either by way of sponsorship(s) or support one way or the other. This is very important to us and we trust we will continue to enjoy this level of support.
As you may have observed, our 2021 training calendar is focused on non-technical trainings (soft-skills) whilst supporting sector-specific Committees (of the SBL) on technical trainings. Soft skills are sine qua non to a successful legal practice/business. At the training committee, we have identified this gap and are determined to close it. We have therefore worked very closely with the Chairman and other Stakeholders to carefully develop the 2021 curriculum and the same is herewith attached.
Suffice to add that spaces for these trainings are limited, I therefore encourage you to please look through the courses and pre-book for trainings you/your colleagues will like to attend in 2021. Please note also that training certificates will be issued for each training attended and participants who attend at least 5 of the 8 courses for the 2021 diet become SBL Essential Skills Certified (SESC) and automatically qualify for the 2022 suite of trainings (at a discount) towards the higher certification which is the SBL Technical Skills Certified (STSC).
