STRIKES WITHOUT GOALS By S. O. K. Shillings Esq.

There are still some things I don't understand. JUSUN is on strike for judiciary autonomy. They have been meeting with stakeholders including NBA.

- Have they told anybody how much that issue affects their members to the extent that it must be settled by a strike action or they are on strike on behalf of the judges and justices?

- When they knew that they were still going to embark on consultation, why commence the strike?

- Will they go back to work if the issue is not resolved?

It is almost becoming a tradition now that industrial strike is the hallmark of an active trade union.

It is also now a tradition that the striking workers will be persuaded to go back to work without achieving the raison detre.

Can we calculate the productivity lost to strikes especially when the ends justify nothing?

Like ASUU like JUSUN!
