VISIT POLICE STATIONS REGULARLY WITHIN YOUR JURISDICTION TO AVOID HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATIONS; NBA HUMAN RIGHTS COMMITTEE WRITES TO BRANCHES - By Clementina E. Ukiri, Esq.

By a letter dated the 26th of April, 2021, the National Human Rights Committe of the Nigerian Bar Association, the Chairman, Chief Mike Ozehkome (SAN) writes through the Committee's secretary, Benard Onigah to all branches Chairmen of the NBA.


He requests the NBA branches' Chairmen to visit police stations within the jurisdiction of their branches frequently to ensure Human Rights are upheld and citizens arrested for minor offenses granted bail on liberal terms. This is to ensure justice during this period of the ongoing judiciary staff strike action.
