The Epe Branch of the Nigerian Bar Association maintained the vibrant run of the activities of her iconic 2021 Law Week of the Nigerian Bar Association with Novelty Football Match on Saturday, 9th October, 2021 at Football Field of the Lagos Business School, Sangotedo, Eti-Osa and Thanksgiving Service on 10th October, 2021 at St. Paul Cathedral Church, Epe.
In a statement issued by Ayo Ademiluyi, the Publicity Consultant to the Law Week Planning Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association Epe Branch, the two events made up the Day 2 and Day 3 of the Law Week of the Branch.
The Novelty football match saw clash between NBA Epe Branch Football Club and All Island Stars Football Club at the Football Field of the Lagos Business School, Sangotedo, Eti-Osa.
After 90 minutes of play, the match ended in 2-2 draw. The All Island Stars Football Club first threw in 2 goals in the first half before the NBA Epe Branch Football Club drew levels in the Second half in a dramatic comeback.
Players of both sides and Members of the NBA Epe Branch and All Island Stars Football Club took turns to take photographs and share food and drinks in a convivial environment.
In a related development, the Law Week entered its Third Day with the NBA Epe Branch holding its Thanksgiving Service at the St. Michael Anglican Church, Epe.
Mr. Ademola Koko, the Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association, Epe Branch, who led the contingent of the Branch Members was given the opportunity to read the Bible Passage from Matthew 8:5-13.
Reverend Ifeoluwa E. Adegoke who gave the Sermon appreciated the Nigerian Bar Association and commended them to be godly and virtuous in their practice.
The Members of the Nigerian Bar Association, Epe Branch were also prayed for by the clergy. At the end of the service, both the Clergy and Members of NBA Epe Branch took turns to take pictures.
