I COMMEND THE BOLD INITIATIVE AND COLLABORATION OF THE NBA MAIDUGURI YOUNG LAWYERS FORUM (YLF) WITH THE NORWEGIAN REFUGEES COUNCIL (NRC). | EWENODE O. WILLIAM ESQ.

I am deeply impressed with the bold initiative and the collaboration of the Young Lawyers Forum of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Maiduguri Branch as they host their collaborative seminar with the Norwegian Refugees Council (NRC) on the theme "Displacement And Resettlement In Borno State: Legal Issues on land Disputes And Resolutions."

This collaboration with the NRC is very instructive bearing in mind the laudable efforts the NRC has been engaged in across the continent.

The theme of the seminar is very apt and touches on the heart of the current issues bedeviling the resettlement of the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Borno State.

It is my earnest desire that all the relevant stakeholders in the Borno resettlement of the IDPs will take advantage of the outcome of this collaboration to put a lasting solution to this very vexed issue of resettlement.

I commend the chairman and the members of the mother Branch (NBA Maiduguri) for encouraging the Young Lawyers Forum to take up the gauntlet in hosting this very remarkable seminar.

Once again, I congratulate Umar Chiroma Esq., the chairman of the YLF, and his members for taking up this bold initiative.

There is no doubt that this collaboration is not only a landmark achievement, it is also a solution-bearing action to a critical issue that has been begging for a solution.

I wish all the attendees a robust and fruitful deliberation.

EWENODE O. WILLIAM ESQ.

Immediate Past NBA National Asst. Secretary.
