NDLEA APPOINTS THE CHAIRMAN OF NBA-SARC, JOE-KYARI GADZAMA SAN AS AMBASSADOR OF WAR AGAINST DRUG ABUSE; DECORATES HIM WITH LAPEL PIN.

Joe-Kyari Gadzama SAN, Pioneer Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association - Security Agencies Relations Committee in the company of members of the Committee paid a courtesy visit to the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Brig. Gen. Muhammad Buba Marwa (Rtd) at the Headquarters on Tuesday, February 15th, 2021 at Abuja.


Gadzama SAN thanked the Chairman of the Agency for making out time despite his busy schedule to accommodate the delegation. The learned Silk further stated that the NBA-SARC is tasked to douse tension between members of the legal profession and personnel of the law enforcement agencies. Gadzama stated that the visit by the delegation aims to build bridges between the members of the legal profession and officers of the law enforcement agencies. He further extended a hand of fellowship for partnership between the NDLEA and members of the legal profession through the various proposed seminars and training sessions for personnel of the NDLEA and emphasized the need for a code of engagement to guide the dealings of members of the legal profession and personnel of the NDLEA. Gadzama commended the Chairman of the NDLEA noting that the Agency is one of the law enforcement agencies with the least complaints from members of the NBA.






The Chairman of the NDLEA in his remark stated that he respects the members of the Association and legal profession and is willing to cooperate with NBA-SARC in aiding its noble cause. He also conferred on the learned Silk the award of Ambassador of War Against Drug Abuse then decorated the learned Silk with the lapel pin of the NDLEA.


Present at the visit to the Agency were Otunba Lanre Ipimisho, MFR, former Director-General of the NDLEA; members of the NBA-SARC, Mr. Salman Alhaji Salman and Mr. Nnaemeka Emmanuel Otagburuagu; Chairman of the NBA-Bwari Branch, Mr. Monday Adjeh; the NBA-SARC liaison officer, Mrs. Rabiah A. Hassan; Financial Secretary of the NBA Abuja Branch (Unity Bar), Mr. Jerry Ombugadu Musa, Mr. Onyedika Ahunaya (representing Chairman, NBA Abuja Branch), Lamar Joe-Kyari Gadzama, O. E. Oluwabiyi and other distinguished persons of the NDLEA.

Recall that earlier on Tuesday a similar visit was made on the Chairman of Independent Corrupt Practices Commission, Prof Bolaji Owasanoye SAN.
