SUSTAINING PREVENTIVE/RESPONSE PLANS TO ADDRESSING VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN AND GIRLS; THEME: MILESTONE CELEBRATION AND GROWTH PATH FOR GATEKEEPERS.


Community stakeholders were able to access the action plans implementation progress which aimed at addressing and responding to child abuse, human trafficking and domestic violence.




The programme also focused on appreciating the achievement and proffering a growth path for stakeholders as part of FIDA sustainability plans strategies.





In Odo nla, the community development chairman explained how infrastructure especially roads has affected in accessing more women, more so, how religious beliefs also affect the rights of women and girls within the community to the chairperson.




The programme coordinator highlighted areas in Odo nla, and proffer technical inputs and recommendations for onward transmission to the area coordinator.






All representatives across stakeholders reported preventive and responsive activities undertaken to address emerging incidents of GBV within the communities.






The programme coordinator addressed loopholes within the various activities reported while she encourage stakeholders to always speak out on issues of GBV and any violation of women's rights.






While other stakeholders in the Odogunyan community further briefed the FIDA team on the progress and challenges recorded so far in the action plans implementation process.



The chairperson encouraged each community stakeholder to sustain the project intervention by maintaining the project objectives like a newly wedded wife.




The stakeholders' representatives: Baale of Odonguyan Odo nla community, market women representatives, Artisans, Road transporter representatives, Lagos State Child Right Protection Department, NDDC representatives, CAN and PFN Odonguyan chapter representatives, and youth.
