DELTA STATE CHIEF JUDGE TO COMMENCE THE JAIL DELIVERY EXERCISE FOR THE FIRST QUARTER OF THE YEAR.

Delta State Chief Judge, Honourable Justice Tessy Diai, will commence the jail delivery exercise for the first quarter of 2023 on Tuesday, March 21st to the five custodial centres of the Nigerian Correctional Service across the state, and the Sapele Remand Home.

According to the itinerary of the Honourable Chief Judge's visit released by the office of the Chief Registrar, High Court of Justice, Delta State, Justice Diai, will begin the exercise with the Custodial Centre, Warri (popularly known as Okere prison) on Tuesday, March 21st to Wednesday, March 22nd, 2023. While Sapele Custodial Centre and Remand Home will take their turn on Thursday, March 23rd.

Similarly, Justice Diai will be at Kwale Custodial Centre on Monday, April 17th, while that of Agbor is scheduled for Tuesday, April 18th.

The Chief Judge will round off the visit at the Ogwashi-Uku Custodial Centre on Thursday 20th and Friday, April 21st.

The visit will begin at 10 a.m, each day.

Accordingly, lawyers, security agencies, and stakeholders in the administration of criminal justice are urged to make adequate preparation for the proposed visit of the Chief Judge for a seamless exercise.
