CONDUCT OF THE YEAR 2024 LOCAL GOVERNMENT ELECTIONS IN OGUN STATE. 

As you are already aware that the Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission (OGSIEC) will conduct elections for the positions of Chairmen of the twenty (20) Local Government Areas and Councillors of the two hundred and thirty-six (236) wards of Ogun State on Saturday, 16th November 2024, I wish to inform you that His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, Governor of Ogun State, has magnanimously approved Friday, 15th November 2024 as a public holiday to enable civil/public servants, who desire to travel to their various local governments for the purpose of performing their civic duty, do so without any hitch. This is in line with the principle of inclusiveness and participatory democracy of the present administration. 

In this regard, Permanent Secretaries and other Heads of Government Agencies are hereby requested to strictly comply with the contents of this circular.
