COVID-19: NBA OLEH BRANCH GIVES PALLIATIVE TO DESERVING MEMBERS; APPEALS FOR GOODWILL DONATIONS .
Consequent upon the COVID-19 lockdown and lockdown extension, Mr. Sunny Adolo, the Chairman of the NBA Oleh Branch declared that it has become imperative for the Branch to open its welfare purse to members in dire need.
In concert, the Branch has set up an 8-Man high-powered Implementation Committee headed by V. E Otolo, Esq.
He decried that the harsh reality the whole country faces presently is a big challenge to lawyers as he vowed to do all that is necessary to support the branch to ameliorate the effect.
Explaining that the first tranche of disbursement and distribution of palliative package would be targeted at the young lawyers within the call age of 1-5 years at the bar before it goes further to other members in dire need.
The mode of disbursement he mentioned would be a house to house using the address directory of members to be collated by the COVID-19 welfare committee inaugurated. The mode is to ensure that members do not have to leave their houses and in the process flout the government directives on social distancing, he said.
Also, the Chairman of the Branch has called on all well meaning donors who have the means to assist the Branch's welfare at this point in time he concluded.
