In line with the directives of NBA President in respect of the above subject, the chairmen of all the five branches of NBA in Lagos State met in the evening of Sunday (18/04/2021) and the following resolutions were taken:
(a) That the Chairman of Ikeja Branch should at an emergency meeting slated for 9am tomorrow, try to persuade his members to postpone the Ikeja Branch earlier planned protest on non implement of the financial autonomy for the judiciary scheduled for today, Monday, 19th April, 2021 till Tuesday, 20th April, 2021 to allow for joint visit to the Governor of Lagos State by all branches of NBA in Lagos State as directed by NBA President.
(b) That all members of NBA in Lagos State shall on Tuesday, 20th April, 2021 visit the Governor of Lagos State with a joint letter of demand for implementation of financial autonomy for the judiciary.
The executives of NBA Ikorodu Branch met today at 11am to fine tune the modalities for the joint visit of members of NBA in Lagos State to the Governor of Lagos State on Tuesday, 20th April, 2021.
