YOU ARE WELCOME TO ABUJA! 

Here comes another National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting, the second highest decision making body of our great association the Nigerian Bar Association.

I welcome all NEC members to Abuja, venue of the meeting. As a NEC member that has attended the meetings, I dare say the meeting is tasking and time consuming given the long hours nature of the meeting but it is a sacrifice we must make for the development of our great association.

Also, I enjoin us all to put an average member of this association at the centre of all decisions we are to make or take. The law profession and lawyers indeed will be greatly affected by our decisions and in decisions. Hence, the need to consider every facet of our professional strata. The young lawyers are dear to this association and our decisions must capture their interests.

This is also an opportunity to speak truth to powers that be and address the state of our nation decisively.

This is wishing you all a fruitful deliberation that will bring about improvement in the lives of our members and the nation at large.

I must commend the national executives led by our indefatigable and technological cutting edge President Mr. Olumide Akpata, for the giant strides of this administration.

Lastly, I wish every one a safe trip to their various destinations.
