AYO ADEMILUYI APPRECIATES WARM BIRTHDAY FELICITATIONS.

I am deeply honoured by the avalanche of birthday felicitations on the occasion of my birthday on 13th August, 2021.

As I earlier announced, the birthday celebration took off with operation J4J 1.0 on D-Day, 13th August. Operation J4J 1.0 stands for #JusticeforJubilantEndSARSMatryrs. Working with my learned senior and chairman of the Radical Agenda Movement in the Nigerian Bar Association (RAMINBA), where I act as secretary, we were able to file sworn depositions on oath of 5 victims of SARS and police brutality. A case in point is that of Late Gabriel Ayoola Ayedungbe, who was shot by police officers of Ojodu police station on 21st October, 2021 while participating in a protest to sustain the #EndSARS struggle as anger boiled on the streets after the 20th October, 2021 Lekki shooting. The petition was brought by his siste, Funmi Ayedungbe.

The second event of Day 1 of the birthday celebration was the Red Birthday Celebration at the New Afrika Shrine where the trio of Seun Anikulapo-Kuti, Aj. Dagga Tolar and Fagunwa Maberu in a rare and fierce appearance of 3 revolutionary musicians unleased percussions and beats to the air for the #EndCubaBlockade Music Rally.

It is indeed a great privilege to share the same birthday with legendary revolutionary, Fidel Castro, who is also a lawyer and socialist. Despite the limitations of lack of working class democratic control, the Cuban Revolution stands today as a pillar of inspiration for working and oppressed people in Africa, nay Nigeria. Like Fidel Castro, I want to partake in the Nigerian Revolution in my lifetime.

I sincerely appreciate my comrades in the Movement for A Socialist Alternative, forces from other left organisations, the Campaign for A Workers and Youth Alternative (CWA), Democratic Socialist Movement (DSM), Amilcar Cabral Ideological School and Movement, Movement of the People and Naija Resistance Movement, Movement for African Emancipation, Take It Back Movement and everyone who serenaded me at the Red Birthday Celebration.

My heart of appreciation also goes out to my folks of Ife Law Class of 2009.

I also appreciate the kind words of Professor Paul Ananaba SAN, former Chairman of the Section on Public Interest and Development Law (SPIDEL) of the Nigerian Bar Association, who called to give sweet words.

I equally appreciate Mr. Adesina Ogunlana, who gave a surprise gift.

At Day 2 of the celebration, operation J4J 2.0 took the form of #JusticeforJustifiedLekkiShootingVictims. We continued our representation for the #EndSARS protesters shot at the Lekki toll gate by the Nigerian army on 20th October, 2021.

I must also appreciate my beloved parents and siblings who showered me with their love. You are so amazing!

I also appreciate the Executive Committee Members and Members of Eti-Osa Bar Forum, where I also act as Secretary of the Forum. I appreciate Oladotun Hassan Esq. for all his marvelous contributions.

I also appreciate my NBA Epe Branch Leaders and Members.

I must submit that this note of appreciation does not cover the field as it is so wide! Any omission is not intentional and all names mentioned are in no particular order.

I say thank you, everyone.

Merci!

WATCH OUT FOR OPERATION #J4J 3.0
