Insp. Olabode, one of the police officers from Meiran Division involved in the assault was present, Supol Bola was said to have developed stroke as such he could not make it.
The suspect who is on bail was around with his mother. The Commanding Officer went for an event, so she was not around but the IPO and team leader were available, Insp. Olabode said they intended to settle but would have to discuss with Supol Bola on what they both can offer. The Suspect on the other hand alongside his mum said they would replace the missing items but they did not come up with a sum to pay.
Insp. Olabode said he would get across to the Complainant on phone before the next date on their offer.
Meeting was adjourned to Wednesday 1st September, 2021 for possible arraignment of the Suspect while the Complainant is to meet with the O/C Legal on Tuesday, 31st August to conclude on modalities.
