I count it as a great privilege for me to send my goodwill message to the Chairman and Members of the NBA Aba Branch on the occasion of their 2021 Dinner, that is taking place on Friday 10th December, 2021 at Terminus Hotel, Aba.
This Dinner with the theme "Navigating the Institution of Nation Building in the 21st Century, The Bar & Bench Experience" is apt.
Lawyers are part of those that constitute the Institution of Nation building.
It is my candide position that every Lawyer has a role to perform in Nation building, and a good understanding of this role is what the theme of this Dinner seeks to achieve.
I wish to urge the members of NBA Aba and every participant at the Dinner Lecture to have a deeper interrogation of the roles the Bar and the Bench play in Nation building.
The need to navigate round the Institutions of Nation building as it affects the Bar and the Bench will be greatly enhanced after the Dinner.
I have been informed of the Statutorily sacredness of the NBA Aba Dinner which must hold annually without fail.
I therefore extend my congratulations to the Chairman and all Members of the NBA Aba Branch for holding this year's Dinner.
