It would be recalled that the law week was themed Legal Practice in Covid Era: Lessons Learnt.
There is no doubt that the Covid pandemic dealt a great blow on legal practice not only in Nigeria but across the globe since 2020 when it first came out.
Initially, it was not only the courts and legal business that were shut down, the entire country was shut down in 2020.
It was this negative effect of the pandemic that brought out the hitherto unexplored virtual hearing proceedings that is now making law practice a little attractive.
With the way the various speakers expounded the theme at the event, I have no doubt that the good lessons learnt by the participants will be put to play.
May I therefore congratulate the chairman and members of the NBA Yola for helping to contribute to knowledge with this theme.
