YLF CARETAKER COMMITTEE - THE ADDRESS OF THE IMMEDIATE PAST CHAIRMAN OF THE YLF GOVERNING COUNCIL TO ITS MEMBERS AFTER TWO YEARS AND THREE MONTHS OF MERITORIOUS SERVICE.

 

Good evening, Ladies and Gentlemen. 

On Wednesday, 23rd February 2022, the Governing Council of the Young Lawyers Forum (YLF), which I led was dissolved after two years and three months of meritorious service. A Caretaker Committee was simultaneously constituted with the following members: 

1. Muntasir  Adamu - Lagos (Chairman).

2. Osayuki Agbonghae - Benin.

3. Deborah Achanya - Minna (Secretary).

4. Uchenna Mbaeke - Enugu.

5. Fadillah Lawal Adamu - Abuja.

6. Abdulrahman El-Ibrany - Gombe.

7. Isiaka Jamiu - Okehi.

8.  Izuchukwu Jeffrey Oyinze - Onitsha.

9. Christianah Aiyeetan - Lagos.

10. C.K Anyanwu Aba (2015).

Additionally, the President constituted a YLF Advisory Board comprising the following persons: 

1. Paul Daudu - Bwari (Chairman).

2. John Aruoture - Warri.

3. Inemesit Dike - Port-Harcourt (Secretary).

4. Opeyemi Akinkusote - Lagos.

For the next six months, the YLF Caretaker Committee will see to the affairs of the YLF and, working with the YLF Advisory Board, consult with relevant stakeholders on modalities for further strengthening the YLF for the professional development and advancement of young lawyers, and report to the President and the National Executive Council as necessary. 

Mrs. Uduebor⁩ (immediate past Secretary of the YLF Governing Council) and I are grateful to all members of this page for the support we received in delivering on our mandate at the YLF. We urge you to also cooperate with and support the Chairman, YLF Caretaker Committee, and ⁨Achanya Debby⁩, Secretary, YLF Caretaker Committee as they take charge of steering the affairs of the YLF. 

It has been a privilege to be of service.
