As you may already know, the past week like many before it, has been replete with unfortunate developments that have trivialized the sanctity of human lives and threatened the unity of Nigeria. From the gruesome killing of security operatives in the South East, to the lynching of David Imoh by commercial motorcyclists in Lagos and especially, the murder of Miss Deborah Yakubu in Sokoto.
Kindly find attached, a statement by the leadership of the Nigerian Bar Association, on the Sokoto crisis, the scheduled NBA-SPIDEL conference billed to take place in Sokoto, a stern demand that the culprits be brought to justice for the murder of Miss Deborah Yakubu and a request for more proactive steps in restoring the peace and order in Sokoto State.
