There is no better time to show that our legal profession cares about the justice system than on religious holidays when we are taught to show love and compassion.
Therefore, in the spirit of Sallah, I encourage lawyers across the nation to visit at least one police station in their community to provide support for pretrial detainees.
This is important because, in this season, there are bound to be conflicts but we also know that our police force has also used the closure of the courts due to holidays to abuse their powers of arrest and detention.
I will go to the police station nearest to me tomorrow Monday at Ijede in Ikorodu to perform my duty to this nation through PDSS, I urge all lawyers residing in that axis to join me. Please contact me and let's go and save a life, solve a problem and mend relationships.
