DELTA STATE CHIEF JUDGE, HONOURABLE JUSTICE TESSY DIAI REPRESENTED BY JUSTICE CLETUS EMIFONIYE (MIDDLE) UNVEILED TWO LAW PUBLICATIONS AUTHORED BY HIS HONOUR MIAKPO EMIASO (RTD.) AT DELTA STATE UNIVERSITY, OLEH CAMPUS.

The state Chief Judge, Honourable Justice Tessy Diai has commended his Honour, Miakpo Emiaso (rtd.) for authoring two law publications. 

Justice Diai, who was represented by Justice Cletus Emifoniye of the Oleh Judicial Division, gave the commendation while unveiling two law books written by the author at the Faculty of Law, Oleh Campus, Delta State University, Abraka.

The Chief Judge who chaired the ceremony described the books as an immense contribution to the repertoire, noting that the author who is a prolific writer and has several publications to his credit and an Area Customary Court president, has taken a bold step in contributing to the development of the legal profession.

She described the books titled, "How to Recover Properties of Dead Relations" and "Perceived Corrupt Memoirs of a Nigerian Judge" as must-read.

In their separate remarks, the reviewers of the books, Justice A. O. Akpovi of the High Court, Warri, and the Guest Lecturer Professor Kingsley Edu, applauded his Honour Miakpo Emiaso for his efforts. 

Justice Akpovi asserted that the work is a product of critical thinking and detailed research disclosing that it took the author a decade to bring out the book, "How to Recover Properties of Dead Relations" thereby exhibiting the quality of resilience and commitment.

After making their observations on areas of possible improvement in future editions, the reviewers recommended the books to all and sundry irrespective of their profession.

The highlight of the ceremony was the unveiling of the two books by Justice Emifoniye with support from other personalities.

Dignitaries that graced the ceremony included, the provost of the Oleh campus of DELSU, Professor Elo Ibagere; the Dean Faculty of Law, Professor  Beauty Alloh; and State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice represented by Mrs. Ighoroje.

Others included the chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association, Oleh Branch, Mr. John Urete, and legal practitioners from across the state, among others.
