MY DEAR PEOPLE OF DELTA SOUTH - THANK YOU SO MUCH! | Hon. Joel-Onowakpo Thomas.

With joy and gladness in my heart, I want to express my profound gratitude to the good people of Delta South Senatorial District for electing me as your distinguished Senator to represent the district in the 10th National Assembly.

You have offered me a rare opportunity to serve you and make our senatorial district better. This trust that you have reposed in me would not be taken for granted. With your continuous support, we shall make Delta South the envy of other senatorial districts. Your interest shall be my interest and I shall always defend it.

I want to assure you that in my time as your Senator, I shall fulfill my agenda - Drastic Infrastructural Development, Unique Empowerment Initiatives, and Effective Legislation (DUE) to build a great Delta South that will be highly reckoned with. Certainly, Delta South is 'DUE' for greatness.

To all the ethnic groups that made up Delta South - Ijaw, Isoko, Itsekiri, and Urhobo led by our revered traditional rulers - I thank you for supporting me. I shall fulfill my promise of being fair and equitable to all ethnic formations. My representation shall be devoid of discrimination and segregation. Everyone will feel the impact of my representation.

May I specially appreciate my Party's leadership, Elder Omeni Sobotie, the State Chairman of APC; Mr. Austin Oribioye, Delta South APC Vice Chairman, and all leaders and members of the APC in Delta State for your support, commitment, and encouragement. May God bless you all. You all fought a good fight.

Very importantly, I want to extend my gratitude to my elder brother, friend, and leader, the Deputy Senate President and the incoming Governor of Delta State, His Excellency, Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege. You inspired this aspiration. I cannot appreciate you enough. Thank you for standing by me and for me.

Also, I want to specially appreciate the JOT Senatorial Campaign Organization led by the Campaign Council Chairman, Prince Evans Omatsoguwa, and the Director General, Chief Mike Seikegba. You all stood firm, providing leadership and giving your all for this cause. Together, we went down to all the nooks and crannies of the district, a very peculiar terrain in the country and Delta State in one of the most rigorous campaigns ever witnessed in Delta South. I will not forget your financial and moral support. At this point, I must mention Hon. Benjamin Okiemute, the Deputy Director General of the Campaign; Engr. Tuoyo Omatsuli, the Director of Finance; Chief Michael Johnny, the Director of Security; Dr. Andrew Egunoma, the Director of Administration; Beauty Wares, Director of Women Mobilisation; Ede Hyacinth Ewariezi, Youth Director; Head of Media, Prof. Moses Adagbabiri; Director of Protocol, all the Assistant Director General at the respective ethnic groups, the coordinators at Local Government, Ward, and Unit levels, my media team and every single member of the campaign. May God bless you abundantly and renew your vigour.

I cannot forget the special support given to me by the Isoko Development Union (IDU) led by Prof. Chris Akpotu, the Isoko Traditional Rulers Council led by HRM A.W.O William Ovrawah, Omogha I, the Odio-Ologbo of Oleh Kingdom, the President Generals of all Isoko Clans led by Dr. Alloy Okpelogbo, all religious leaders, our women and youths who were at the field labouring relentlessly for the success of my candidacy and all political support groups, pressure groups and different associations. I may not be able to mention everyone or group but be rest assured that I appreciate your support from the deepest part of my heart. I cannot thank enough the Permanent Excellency, Chief Eta Enahoro. Thank you so much my leader and elder brother for pulling great Isoko sons and daughters together to champion this project. Let me also specially appreciate my elder brother and friend Arch. (Dcn) Ambrose Okuhor (MNIA) for his firm solidarity and support as well as all sons and daughters of the Isoko nation. You all made this dream a reality. May God bless you all.

To my beloved wife, children, and family, I love you. Thank you for standing beside me always. Your moral support and prayers have always been a source of strength to me.

Finally, I want to return all the glory to God because He alone actually arranged and divinely made this project possible. I could not have done this without Him on my side.

Thank you, thank you, and thank you. Delta South shall reap the dividends of democracy.

God bless Delta South.

God bless Delta State.

God bless Nigeria!

Signed:

Hon. Joel-Onowakpo Thomas,

Senator-Elect, Delta South Senatorial District.
