Distinguished Colleagues,
It is with the deepest sadness that the Executive Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association, Benin Branch, ably led by Chief Nosa Francis Edo-Osagie wishes to announce the passing into glory of a respected elder and past chairman of the Benin Bar; N. P. Osifo Esq., which sad event occurred today, 3rd day of March 2023.
Chief Nosa Edo-Osagie while describing our departed colleague as a brilliant and accomplished legal practitioner, also admitted his emotional difficulty in accepting the reality of the news of the passing of the learned former chairman.
Death is merciless. It comes for the small and mighty. It comes for us all. What an indiscretion! Elder N. P. Osifo Esq. will be greatly missed. May his gentle soul rest in peace, Amen! All members of the Branch are encouraged to keep his family in prayers, please.
